Check out the recent post by Maxgurl about their recent meet. I swear i saw a 5th gen with chrome 17" stock rims there.

Dario Mar 13, 2002 06:10 PM

MILANO Mar 13, 2002 08:18 PM

You sure those are chromes on his car? They look more like the AE's. These look like chrome...http://www.capitalwheels.com/images/n6202x-lrg.gif

i dont know for sure. i didnt realize that AEs had different rims. ive never noticed it on the ones ive seen in person or in other pictures (but that doesnt mean they werent there)

MILANO Mar 13, 2002 08:28 PM

Yea..the AE's come through with a different finish than the rgular SE's. Similar to chrome, but not exactly.

I know, but they're the ONLY stock 17" rims he could have been referring too.

MILANO Mar 15, 2002 08:49 AM

How could they be the only ones if

1. The AE's aren't chrome.
2. I posted a pic of stock 17 inch chromes.

1. Yours' aren't AE's they're 2K2 rims
2. Yours' aren't OEM chrome.
3. Yours' are probably "knock offs" not OEM.
4. People usually refer(at least I do) to AE's as chrome stock 17" rims, even as you pointed out, they are not chrome.

Just giving the guy some ideas.

IceY2K1 Mar 15, 2002 08:54 AM

PLUS...

He's looking to buy AE's in the FS forum:

I've got another list for you :)

1. SonzofGod did not request AE's
2. Your are correct. They don't make OEM chrome. Only in the 16 inch SE type.
3. They are from CapitalWheels.com and are actual SE rims that they chrome.
4. You must be the only one that refers to AE rims as chrome.

Good Day Sir.

Apparently you didn't read the link he posted titled:
"WTB: 17" Anniversary Edition rims" in the FS forum.

No good day to you sir. ;)

MILANO Mar 15, 2002 09:10 AM

No Sir...I read the first post in this thread that was requesting someone post pics of factory chrome 17's. How's that?

Blu Mar 15, 2002 09:13 AM

stop the tempers people the AE wheels are polished not chrome or silver OK

MILANO Mar 15, 2002 09:20 AM

Affirmative Trublu2K2....I was just presenting the facts.

As I said you were not looking at the whole picture, which I pointed out and you apparently don't care.

He was referring to AE rims, not chrome 17 2K2, not chrome aftermarket. That is the FACT you failed to realize.

MILANO Mar 15, 2002 09:58 AM

It said chrome..I posted chrome..Thats all. Not a big deal.

I know it's not a big deal, I never meant it seriously.

I posted what I knew HE meant and you gave me what seemed like a smart A$$ reply, when I was NOT even posting to YOU.

Anyways, all is cool. :)

MILANO Mar 15, 2002 11:26 AM

Alright, Cool Man :D

IceY2K1 Mar 15, 2002 11:31 AM

Cool. :D

SonzofGod Mar 15, 2002 03:51 PM
