Larger Size Oil Filter

(2001 Maxima)If you want to run a real Oil Filter and not those small OEM one's, use an Amsoil Super Duty SDF36. It is twice the length of stock, fits nicely without any problems and offers twice the filtering media. These are built like a tank. No, I don't sell Amsoil, just a firm believer in their product. Also use the Series 2000 0W-30 synthetic motor oil - it performs GREAT!!

Dat is a good idea....besides the increased

filtering it's a cheap way to increase oil capacity by a bit...something I've always been concerned with that an engine like the Maxes only has 4.75 quarts of capacity when as a counterpoint, the BMW 4.4 liter V8 has eight quarts of oil.

Where can u get these?
thks

The Amsoil SDF36 is not the same size as the stock filter- it is twice the size of OEM. The threads match the OEM spec., but gives you more filter area and more oil capacity.
