6th Generation Information?

I have the new car fever again and am considering a 300M to replace my 2001 Maxima AE. I would like to hold out, though, for the 6th generation Maxima, but I cannot find any information on the car. Can anyone out there help? By the way, I was offered $20000 for my Maxima AE as a trade in value: my car is loaded with 8000K I think that is a bad price. Thanks for your advice and time.

No...not a Chrysler product!

I'm afraid that 20K-21K is about all you will get for your 2K1 AE. The Maxima decpreciates badly. According to the Nissan press release, the 6th gen will be in production on January 2003 to be sold as an early 2004. No other info has been released other than it will be built on the Altima platform in the same factory as current Altima.

Hang in there for a few more months and we should get some pre-release details.

I guess I feel dumb and a bit surprised. I bought two Maximas because I was always told they HOLD their values. Well, when I traded my last one (and bought the 2001), I guess they hiked the trade value and hid the figures in the deal. I was shocked that a 31000 car can lose 11000 in less than one year ... and with only 8000 miles. I like the Chrysler. It can't depreciate any worse.

Thats interesting. I went to Infinity this week to look at the G35..Just a thought, and was offered to trade the Maxx Se , which is only 3 weeks old.. I wonder how badly they would have raped me ?:bawling:

It's just that most American cars depriciate way more than foreign cars. My personal experience was with a Dodge.
I don't want to start any foreign/domestic wars here just stating the facts. :)
