Tokico Illumina's (Update)

I just got off the phone with Tokico...and they said they are in but need to be tested. She told me they should be available in TWO WEEKS! I guess I am waiting to get the Illumina's instead of the blues.

Adjustable compression and rebound damping, like the KYB AGX over the GR2.

Oh my fricken goodness! That lady must have been an idiot! I asked her specifically for 2k maxes. Called her back and she verified with manager that they are only offering them for the 1995-1999 maxes. She said the 2k-2k1 are in developement and should be released by the end of the year. F$#K!

If they're anything like the KYB AGX's, then it's not that simple.

On the FRONTs you have to relocate the bottom support, since the bolt on the 5th gens is much higher. It's not a simple slot like the 4th gen mount as Cattman thought at first. It requires a completely new support for the bottom mounting points. Then supposedly the top needs to be milled down a cm or two to allow the top nut to thread completely.

Plus, once they're modified you don't have any kind of warranty.

She told me end of summer. Obviously, they don't know what they are talking about. Could be tomorrow, could be next year.
