Start up RPM's when cold ?

Wondering what is your start up RPM?. I have a 2002 SE Auto. When it's cold my RPM's rev up to 2000 when starting. It seems to high from other cars I've owned. It will do it most of the time when it has set for say about any hour or so. Im just guessing, if it is too high would resetting the ECU by diconecting the battery with the lights on will do the trick (past posts info) or is the 3.5 motor just a high reving starter.........

Mine does the exactly the same thing. While disconcerning, I believe it is normal.

don't worry..my does the same thing...its normal...i believe the reason the rpm revs high when its cold is because it will warm up the car faster....it is designed..i think..to rev high when its cold to warm up the car...
