Courtesy Nissan's cost to install RSB!!!!

I wanted to get in on the great Addco RSB group buy. Well, I don't have the aptitude or the willingness to install it myself. (Besides, I want to go to blame somebody else if it isn't on right) Well, I called Courtesy Nissan in Richardson, TX and they want to charge me over $120 to install this. 2.5 hours of labor!!!

What have other people that didn't install it themselves pay?? Maybe I can 'guilt' them into charging me less

Re: Courtesy Nissan's cost to install RSB!!!!

You should just do it yourself cause it will only take you 30 mins. Just make sure you have the bar the right way. You will know this cause it it is backwards you can't fit both side brackets.

If you do decide on changing your mind (do it yourself), this should help you out

...Maybe we could all meet up on a Saturday and do this, does anyone have a nice garage or flat driveway? I figure if Texasguy and I both need help it may make more sense for us to do it all one day so you aren't doing multiple install assists in a week... What do you guys think? This weekend is bad since its the 4th (and I am not even sure the parts will be here) but maybe next Saturday or a weeknight after 6pm... Let me know!

Next Saturday sounds good to me. I am will certainly assist with the beer costs. I live on Mockingbird/Greenville and there is a huge flat parking lot behind my building if that makes sense to do it there. Plenty of room to mod and for other Max owners to come and have a mini meet.

You guys call me next week and let me know. 214-732-2727

What do you guys think of Texasguy's suggestion? This Saturday (the 13th) during the day sounds like a good time for a Dallas/Ft. Worth mini-meet to me. Anybody else wanna hang out and chill while we provide the entertainment of trying to install our rear sway bars??? I will post a new thread inviting all who might be interested... That sounds like fun.

Unless the do this mod a lot I'd tend to say they won't get it right.

There are a couple common problems installing this bar: if you do it, and read all the pointers from the ORG members who have done it, you'll have a high probability of avoiding them.

If they have installed it several times they may know of the problems and be able to avoid them for you, but you're still left with the problem of adjusting the bar for the handling feel you want. They may charge you extra if you want it adjusted it after installation. If you install it, you'll also know how to adjust it to your liking afterwords.

Just got the Addco RSB delivered but.....

When I opened the box, the sorry instructions indicated that the bar they sent of for a 95-99 4th Gen max. What is up with that? I am going to call this morning and figure out what the heck is going on....

I had the same question, but judging from previous posts it doesn't matter much since (Aside from the U-bracket) the installation instructions is exactly the same.

We do share the same chassis as 4th gens.
