1st US-made Max rolls off assembly line

Here's an article on the first US-made Maxima. It has some interesting sales numbers from the Smyrna plant.

Also, note how the VP for Nissan says the pricing will be 28-32K, not 28-34K. Have they done some last minute price reconfigurations? If it tops out at 32K, that'd be more reasonable.

What interested me was Nissan will quit doing fleet sales. Should help the resale value of the 04.

The '04 Max was on the news here in Maryville, TN. The governor was at it's press release, and he said he put one down for order (supposedly).

Hmm, and where do you get this info from? The 2004 IS the first to be made in Tennesse, and all previous years are made in Japan. I have a 2003, and a sticker on it says made in Japan.

I live in Tennessee next to and around people that work AT THE NISSAN PLANT. The 2004 Maxima is the FIRST and ONLY Max that has been built at this plant. 2003's came from Japan.
