G35 or 04 Maxima
 

guys im trying to buy a car new one i was wondering which one should i buy... although i need four door car so i cant get the g35 coupe.... should i buy

04 g35 or 04 maxima??????

whats a difff. b/w them???

the 6th gen owners in here will most likely (not all) vote 04 Max...because they faced the same decision. owners of earlier gens. will likely tell you to go g35 of jump brands (i.e., Acura TL)
Drive 'em all, consider your wallet, make a decision, and enjoy.

Saw it in person breifly, looks like a Galant from the (rear and sides) and accord from the front.

I feel the accord is a better deal and it looks better compared to the TL.

Try doing a search on the forums - this has been discussed before. Anything meaningful that can be said about comparing these two probably has been said. And yes, the main difference is that the G-35 is a rear wheel drive platform derived from the 350Z while the Maxima is a front wheel drive platform derived from the Altima.

The '04 Tl is a credible alternative to either vehicle. Drive 'em all - you'll know which one is for you.

I just bought an '04 and had to make this exact decision. I went MAx because it's bigger and I seemed to get more "bang for the buck" so to speak. The RWD vs. FWD was a though but after driving both I fell in love with the maxima...good luck.

No better way to decide than to test drive each one yourself...

I love my 04 Max, but the 04 G35 offers AWD now and they have supposedly improved the interior. I would definitely take a look at that. Not sure when that version goes for sale, but I'm pretty sure its in the sedan version only which is what you are looking for. If size is important than get the Max because it definitely has mor space.

ok i have driven all three my cousin has a 03 g35 coupe my friend just a week ago just picked up the new tl, and i have the max.. ok if u want room u go for the max its the biggest and to me the best looking out of the g35sedan and the tl.. the tl has a very nice interior the nav screen is huge, bigger than the maxima.. over all quality i ll give it to acura, quality is vey good on these cars.. now for speed the g35 sedan and the max are to me equal, depending on driver auto for auto.. i know the 6spd is faster.. now as for the new tl its no faster than my brothers 03 acura cl type s.. he runs 14.7s and its not any faster.. drive them all see what u like.. there all very nice cars.. but if u get the 04tl get the little lip spoiler and the g35 get the spoiler it dont look right with out it.. niethe does the max

Your two options should be 04 G35 04 or Acura TL. So it comes down to what you want, FWD or RWD. Personally I'd get the G35.

I'd get the G35 AWD that just came out/is about to come out. TL is nice too tho. I got to check both out at a carshow 2 weeks ago, personally like the G35 better, but Acura makes a wonderful car. Go have some fun test driving and buy what you feel fits your needs/wants best

Well, for what it’s worth, here’s how I made my decision. I was going to lease an ’04 Maxima, with the 3 year lease up on my 00’ Max. But I thought the new Maxima was too big, and no longer a 4-door sports car. I also was turned off by the 3-pod dash design. So I decided on the G35 Sedan, it being a bit smaller with the same quality VQ engine. And I also heard good things about Infiniti service compared to Nissan service. But between my family and fellow org members here I was pounced on to get the coupe. Well, I did, and am very happy with it.

I think everyone here has the right idea, you need to create a list of cars you are interested in, that fit your budget, and go drive them. You will find things you like about all of them. For me, I liked the interior of the Max, and the size of the max, but the power and RWD of the G35. I got the 04 max but you may go the other way.

I really hope they did fix the interior of the G35, it really seemed like an after thought when I test drove it.

I got my Max washed and waxed today, boy does it shine :)
