Intelligent Key on the Maxima?

Deos anyone know if Nissan will be putting the intelligent key feature on the Maxima anytime soon, because from what I have read about it, I think that it is really cool, and would be an awesome feature if they added it to the Maxima.

Haven't heard anything. I would feel there is a chance Nissan could add this to the '06 Maxima, either on a 25th anniversary edition, or as part of the driver preferred package, or possibly on all '06 Maximas.

If not on the '06s, this will almost surely be on the '08 Maxima (7th gen).

Yeah, I was thinking and hoping that Nissan would install it on the '06 or at least the '08, because I think this feature is really cool. I am kind of interested to see what other feature they will add to the 7th gen Maxima.

Wow! Someone who agrees with me!

Other than being "cool", it's a pain in the toucas IMO. You have to actually go up to your car and touch a button by the door handle to unlock your car ... Guess what? I can unlock mine from across the parking lot!

So you don't have to pull the key out of your pocket and put it in the ignition. Big deal. Impress your friends a few times and the novelty wears off. Then you have to actually go up to your car and touch the button to unlock it in the pouring rain. While I'm unlocking mine with the remote from across the parking lot and jumping right in. And laughing my a$$ off while your wife/girlfriend gets wet waiting for you to push the frickin button twice to unlock her door. That's progress?
