20's and Eibachs??

I have ordered my Eibachs and now would like to know, 20's and the drop a good idea. I understand that road noise will increase. How affected is the ride? Anyone encounter any problems? How wide could I go with a 20" wheel and how about the tires? max width and profile. I figure a 245/35/20?? Anyone run 255's?
thanks

i'm running a 9 in wide wheel with 255/35/20 tires. Main reason is that up here in the north east the roads suck donkey d*ck. So i wanted more sidewall. The ride is not to bad. Plus the tires don't rub.

Now if your trying to keep the same overall ride height as stock, a 245/35/20 tire will match to the stock wheel size, which i believe is 26.7", but with the 255/35/20 you will have an overall wheel height of 27". 3/10 of an inch isn't much and my speedo isn't off for the most part, maybe at high speeds of 100+, but nothing under normal driving limits.

Is it possible to stick in 245/40/20 tires on? I think 35 profile tires are too small of the rims and am looking to buy 20s but would like to keep a 40 profile as long as there is no major issues with doing so.

Alright, now be real... What kind of rubbing are you getting? Everyone I've seen on this forum goes no bigger than 245/35...you're the first I've seen to venture out to the 255/35 range... How is your ride? How much noise? I'm planning on getting tires/rims soon and I really like the way your shoes fit. Looks good!!! So give me an honest, detailed response...seriously considering your size tires... OH, and BTW, I'M FROM NJ ALSO!!! :gapteeth:
