brake rotors rust CRAZY USA WEATHER!!
Dam I Relized My Brake Rotors Rusting Becuase Of The Rain And Snow..y Is This??dam..what The Hell Am I Suppose To Do??no Garage Space..becuase Of My Moms Porsche..damn...

Is this your first car?
The rotors always rust when the car sits for a while and a lot of moisture comes in contact with the rotors. The rust will be wiped off as soon as you start driving the car.
BTW, how old are you?

Easy guys. Your rotors are not rusting. Relax. Like MaxMus said you will be fine once you drive the car.

yeah rotorsare common. on my max my calipers are rusting. looks terrible .. anything besides paint recommended to get rid of this ??

oh ic..thanks for the post i am 19 years old anyway and this is my 3rd car..i had 2002 acura tl type s first car and 2004 TL second car totaled in 3 month..and now i got my maxima SL.i didnt realize this in the other cars maybe becuase the rotors were smaller so i couldnt really see..

u know what u should do wrap ur rotors with plastic bags everytime u park so they dont rust...........thats what i do....isnt that what everyone does?

Come on guys he has a legitimate gripe here. Mr. Waka I would suggest that you put some thick (has to be thick you dont want it to run off) grease on your rotors. The grease will act as a barrier to moisture and even salt. Voila! No more rust will appear on your rotors.

hey i have a question y does my car get wet when it rains ......i dont no i just cant figure it out? maybe i should drive my moms ferrari from now on maybe it wont get wet!!

Seriously, the wide gaps between the spokes of the Maxima wheels make the rusty looking surface of the brake rotors very noticable. But, when undriven for a few days and left in wet conditions, all brake rotors do that.
It is nothing to worry about, and will disappear immediately when you drive the car again.
As to the 'suggestions' here, enclosing them with a plastic bag will not keep the moisture out unless every crack is totally sealed (not practical). Worse, when the weather clears, the plastic will keep moisture that has gotten inside from evaporating.
And as to coating them with grease, we both know that eliminates the braking ability of the rotors.
Don't be embarrassed to ask questions, and just remember to take some of our responses here with a grain of salt. We are a tough crowd. At age 19, I did not know much about the inner workings of a car, either.
