I've seen some BREMBO-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
Also i Rotors
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW
And the R1 Concepts
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

All on Ebay. Don't know which one is best. Checked the Brembo on the brands official website but the list of parts is not updated, so there appears to be no productos for the 6th gen MAX...

I dont trust ebay to much. I would rather order em from a distributor.

maxxoutt 01-25-2005 11:15 AM

Glude 01-25-2005 11:27 AM

Which rotors did you get?

Wakkus_Maximus 01-25-2005 12:06 PM

got a closer pic?

Viper1 01-25-2005 01:43 PM

It is strange that eBay would have aftermarket rotors, but if they are good quality and not drilled OEM blanks. Yeah I'm interested. Tell us your thoughts, some pics and how long you have had them.

Thanks

I heard from someone that these companys on ebay are using cheap china rotors and having them drilled and selling em. Even heard that Irotor is doing the same thing, thats why I havent bought any yet. Im waiting on Brembo to confirm that they have rotors for our cars. Also would like to see some from powerslot.

I can get SSBC to custom cut you their Turbo-slot design rotors for the 6 gen... If theres enough interest they might not be rediculisly expensive.

Heres a link, take a look.

Could you get a price for us for front and rear?

DJ Kontakt 01-25-2005 03:17 PM

I'll give them a call and ask how much a 1-off custom set would be. I would guess off the top of my head, around $400 for one set, front and rear.

Dont quote me on that ;)

I'll also ask their R&D if they are working on the Force 10 brake kit for the 6 gen too while I'm on the phone with them.

Glude 01-25-2005 04:25 PM

Well If its gonna be 400 for a set then dont bother.

wow 400 dollars, I would rather risk ebay prices than to do that. try shooting for $215- 230 in that range...

DJ Kontakt,
Thanks for the offer, I was really looking for cross-drilled replacement rotors. On the website you provided, they stated that cross-drilled rotors tend to crack yet I see them as OEM on cars like the Vette. Are they using better metal like stainless steel? (BTW, cast iron is a better material for brake rotors)

I think what we are after is a premium replacement, cross-drilled, slotted or both. That will not warp easily and adds to the performance and looks of our Maxima.

DeusExMaxima 01-25-2005 06:00 PM

Are you looking for just rotors or high performance calipers as well. I want 4 piston Brembos if they made them, but I dont think Brembo has a 6th Gen application yet. There are companies that make high performance brake calipers and rotors.

DJ Kontakt 01-25-2005 06:16 PM

the SSBC rotors are better metals than OEM and better design. If you want to get in to specifics, I'll dig up their tech guys phone # and post it on here. SSBC is talking about cross drilled aftermarket rotors put under really strenuous use, but I support their design too.

Viper1 01-25-2005 06:20 PM

Thanks, $400 would still be cheaper and better then the Stillen's cross-drilled rotor made from the Nissan OEM rotors.
