Electric Supercharger
Has anyone bolted one of these to ther Maxima yet? i found this on ebay while i was looking for hop up for my Porsche. I asked my Porsche forum if anyone has tried one of these I will let you know what I hear. Sound like Bull$hit to me http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=46098 |
Why don't you try it out and let us know how it went. I bet it will work even better than they say it will.

I just dont know how the max will handle an extra 500cfm without ecu changes

lol don't waste your money on ebay ones, it's garbage. Those are proven not to work. I believe the only real working electrical supercharger system is made by Thomas Knight, those actually use modified centrifugal blowers with a trio of electrical motors. That system eats gobs of electricity, and requires multiple car batteries to have an acceptable system.

Combine that with the Jet ECU mods and u have a helluva powerful Max.....

Well, check this out. Hybrids are elective s/cs. You get instant torque on demand. What tuners have to do is figure out how to get more voltage out the hybrid batteries, thus giving more power....

That thing is a toy. It looks a lot like the bilge blower on my boat or a defroster blower on a truck...
I have seen one electric supercharger that looks legit. It has three motors on it and requires two fully charged batteries deep cycle batteries to run it for about 30/45 seconds. IIRC about $1600. EDIT: I didn't see Viscous post #5. I think that's the one. I suspect it works as advertised. http://turbomagazine.com/tech/0406tur_knight02_z.jpg |
sounds like bs to me...why don't ya try strappin a leap blower on as a supercharger?
