you should find a site that lists the coresponding PIAA #'s with stock #'s. I don't know, try PIAA.com to start? at least one online store will cross-reference for you. I somehow swapped every exterior bulb to PIAA but the HIDs.

Corners are 3156...as per the manual...and these arent easy to get in colors. Amber Turn signal is 1157...which is not east to find either, most are 1156.. and 158 for the trunk? Cant find it anywhere.

Is the hole to fit the bulb through pretty big? I knwo they make LEDs for this application as well. Piaa's prices seem outrageous for little things like wedge bulbs...$16 each for old school incadescent?

I just bought some hyper white bulbs and I'm going down to install them right now, I'll let you know how it works out and a bit...

this place has good prices http://www.xtremewhite.com/LBU-Light...-1-1-1-1-1.cfm

Wow wheck these out..
This PIAA H3 Plasma Spark Blue headlight bulbs has a color temperature at 7500K which send out a color very similar to the HID white color with a little bit of blue tinted color. (The higher color temperature shows that particular light bulb color is closer to the actual sunlight) With a 55W energy output, it is able to produce the light as strong as a 100W regular halogen light bulb. PIAA headlight bulbs can surely save energy of your car and yet given you a better visibility.
$110 a pair for these things! I bet they almost match the HID's....however I think ther GTX's I ordered willl look better, Id rather have more purple than blue/white.

It looks like the GTX and Plasma spark are the newest offerings, and are imported straight from Japan, not from PIAA USA, so they dont have the PIAA USA warrenty...It looks like everyone on this forum is using the X-treme white from PIAA USA. I want to see the plasma sparks, so someone get them!

Alright, mission failed. I guess I should have done more research...I bought a 1156's based on an earlier thread...WRONG BULB. Of 04 above you told us which was the right one which of course I didn't even see until right now...duh.
Anywasy now I have to get the correct bulbs, I did get in there pretty easily. I couldn't see in there from the angle I was under the car so I snapped a pic with my camera to help me through it. Just twist it out like most other lights:

Make sure you get the right bulb...

Does the base of the bulb face down at the street? Yeah I thought I could get the bulb around here but they are all 3157's..seems more common than the 3156 we need.

ok, I'd hate to keep ordering things one by one on the internet...I got the blinkers from one place, the interior stuff from another, and the fogs from a 3rd...I thought id be able to find colored 3156's anywhere...maybe not. I hope the passenger side isnt too hard to get at once i get the tank out of the way to get the fogs and blinkers in...I know how to do the driver's...but after the underwhelming look of the silverstars (my opinion) I didnt take apart the passenger side yet.

I just went to Autobacs yesterday and bought a pair of PIAA GT-X H3 bulbs..think they cost me about $60.
After having to take out the water reservoir and air-intake box etc etc just to replace some stupid fogs, I was really disappointed at the PIAAs.

Even the stock foglights give off more light..now you can't even notice a difference when they're on or off.
As for the advertized purple/HID look...bull...sitting right next to the stock HID's these fogs still look like dome-lights or something.

Hope that helps.

Yep, got my LED's coming in the mail, High expectations for these considering there will be a total of 26 inside the car.

It dosent help..lol...maybe yours were bad? I doubt it...Ill see what happenes when I get mine in..I can't believe that, I guess nothing will ever come remotely close to the real deal, so ill still take solace in the fact I have HID..But Ill see how they look and report if i think they are a sham too.
It will be a $60 lesson I guess. P.S. You're looking at these things in the daylight right?

Hey, to those of you who have taken out the whole headlight to get a good look at it...Is it possible the foglamp is tinted to give it a fog friendly yellowish tint? which would completely defeat any attempt at getting super white look from them.

anyone still looking for bulb sizes, i've had a sticky for bulb #'s and even the manual up for a while now (if anyone cares)

I used to look for the one place that had all the bulbs I wanted at the lowest total price (maybe I'm the only one that shops that way). besides fogs, all other PIAAs I got where $10 a pair straight from Japan.

if you guys want all HID color bulbs, there is no worry about "fog tint" wherever you imagined that from. members already have their lights all Xtreme white.

I know, but the posting by sparq kinda blew my mind...considering PIAA is such a respected brand...to think the 5000k advertised GT-X's are duller and yellower than the OEMs threw me...i was just looking for some explaination. Seeing is believing though, and they are already ordered.

OK, they look alright, but they are dim, I guess that's what I get for buying $10 bulbs. I guess it's off to Autobacs tomorrow...
Or maybe I'll order the LED's online.

Corners have not been bought yet,im unsure now but i think i am going to do them in blue because i like how axa's silver car reflects blue when they are off in the daytime...Im going to put chrome bulbs that illuminate amber when on for the blinkers, those arrived today, and im waiting on the Piaa plasmas for the fogs now, then ill do the switch. If I like the chrome look I will get chrome for the corners also, becuase they are available at autozone, they are most likely not as bright as Piaa corners though, but i still may do that.
Yes, I went full Blue LED for the interior, front and rear dome, and footwells.

Happy Easter

the blue shows through the reverses and corners. but as far as chrome bulbs for turns, it just looks like nothing is in there. you can't see the bulb.

with the amber, some orange shows when light gets in there. i like and dislike the blue showing in my car. (interrupts the Black w/ red & white color scheme) so if chrome Xtremes become available by the time they need replaced, that's what i'll get. Xtreme White PIAA corners are the perfect match for HID.

Nismo...I know you said you had a sticky on bulb sizes...but I can't find the bulbs used in the foot-wells...the ones that shine down on the pedals...anyone know?

I'm about to order a whole bunch of LED lights for the car too..and they guy selling them to me said that I should use the red LED's for the stop and turn lights...I've read somewhere on here that people were disappointed with the red ones and wished they got the clear LEDs for the stop/turns...anybody confirm this?

Thanks...

I'm buying my LEDs from an ebay store...velocity leds...a lot cheaper than the site that was mentioned in this thread.

Sparq...194's are in both footwells, and in all the doors...they are a 'wedge' type bulb that push right in.
