Shock Life?
Anyone know the "life expectancy" of struts? Every d@mn time i go over a speed bump, my rear squeeks TERRIBLY, but definitely not bottoming out. I just started noticing this since i moved to q housing area that has mass speed bumps. I think the Max knows she's coming up on 36k (31xxx now) :)
My dumb a$$ decided to clean the car and run it through the wash to clean the undercarriage from the snow we had, so of course, it didn't squeek at the dealer. They "lubed" they rear sway bar (not sure how that would fix it as i thought that assisted on cornering). On the way home last night, wouldn't you know it, coming the through the neighborhood, hittin all the speed bumps, squeekin' like mad. Now that i've written a story, anyone know the "life expectancy"? |
Read the Problems STICKY for struts....
Struts are only in the front. We have shocks in the rear. Most rear squeaks have been due to the RSB. No knowledge of shock problems yet. |
I have to agree w/ Nismo. It sounds more like your RSB. Do you have an aftermarket one?
