problem with cd player HELP!

hi just bought my 2004 max 6speed RA color and the problem is whenever I insert the cd in the player it plays and everything but as soon as I step on the brake the CD pops out and it happens in any gear or any speed but the radio and everything works fine just and the cd plays but once i step on the brake it pops out and the dealer is charging me 130 just to look at it oh and i have 56k miles only.

You did not say if you have the Bose CD changer or the single play factory CD player. That will make a difference in people's answers.

I have an 04 SE with 6-speed, the Bose changer and 46 K miles. I have never had that problem. Early on in the 6th Gen Forum there were posts from owners who were having problems with self-produced CDs that were causing problems. Turns out that the players (I believe this applied to both systems) do not like thick CDs and the self-produced CDs had the extra thickness of a label being applied to the top. I use only self-produced CDs in my changer and have not had any problem, except in extreme cold when the player does not want to play -- until the inside of the car warms up.

Afraid I can's suggest any more, but at least let us know which player is causing the problem. And if the dealer finds the problem, let us know that, too.

Still under warranty?

unplug it and plug it back in....it will reset itself and hopefully not do it anymore. If that doesn't work it's the perfect opportunity for you to upgrade to something else....
