I'm just not a very big fan of that style at all. They just look like a knock-off of some sort to me for some reason.

It's the style not the finish that just doesn't do it for me.

Just my $.02

It's just my opinion - Doesn't mean anything. The rims on your 6gen look nice though. Reminds me of the old school Momo Arrows

understandable.. I thought you meant their are knock off , off other wheels..
Like Volk look a likes...

I Just remember Falken Comming out with these Torques and in 19s looked perfectly with the 2001 .. in those pics I have up , the car was being De-Modded .. So the car wasnt clean... the rims fit perfectly with those brakes and barely cleared with 2mm.

The rims set it off for that Maxima but im sure it wouldnt look as nice on a 6th Gen.

They look like knockoffs because they are knockoffs of the Lowenhart BR-5s

ah thats missed up guys... these were suppose to be the best looking rims in the world... lol

Well, thanks for your 2 cents...

as for the knockoffs... dude falken is a racing tire and well known. Ive never heard of Lowenhart BR-5s

dude, its more like the Lowenhart BR-5s are knockoffs of Falken Torque 5's...

Just making sure I read that correctly. I think I spit Coke all over my monitor.

I actually like the torque5's, but not in chrome. Just in regular silver.

too bad they're so damn heavy.

I don't know if I'd go so far to say they're Lowenhart knockoffs, but they do look similar. I mean, there's only really about 20 basic wheel designs, and everything else is pretty much derivative......

but the lowenharts are definitely NOT Falken knockoffs

true, Falken is a well-known race tire company, but their wheels are not race/track wheels (too heavy), and they've only been making them for a few years.

The BR-5's are...oh....about $1000 each (if not more). The torque5's are about $200 each. You decide who is knocking off who (if anyone...)

That said, the Lowenharts are heavy as hell too....

Wow, I guess it's unanimous, almost nobody likes those. However I think they look as good as the G35 rims everyone's so hot about. But as we all know, everyone has an opinion. For me they are just too heavy, and expose too much of the brake area. I think the Max needs something with a little more muscle to it since it's a larger car.

It looks like a nice rim. Of course how it will look on your Max is a different story. A drop would help a bit. I say go for it and just keep the rims you have now just in case.

lol @ the lowenhart statement, that company is probably one of the most high end manufacturers of chrome wheels, thats why they are SOOOO expensive.

Be Different Without Buying Custom Wheels

I don't want to buy custom rims as I'm trying not to "rice" my Maxima out. I'm thinking about these from Nissan. They look like the 25th anniversary 350Z wheels! $270 each at http://www.vadennissanparts.com/ By the way, they sell Nismo parts cheaper than I've found anywhere. I only paid $233 for my Nismo Cold Air Intake recently.

Brian, I concour. I got a set of those ready to go on in the spring. I don't mind the other rims except for the fake bolt head look.
