bose subwoofer

i have the bose system and i don' know how it happened
but the two subs in the rear deck are blown
has anyone have this happen?
and is that covered under the bumber to bumber warranty
car has 23586 miles

boone 08-03-2007 04:14 PM

I don't think I have heard of that happening but that would be covered by your warranty.

blackmax07 08-03-2007 05:43 PM

I thought the bose system only came with one sub? But yeah its covered, I think everything is covered under the 3 yr 30,000 warranty..Things like speakers, head unit ect..

Check the fuse for the subs.

I'm sorry....... but I don't think its covered under the "bumber to bumber" warranty. :goofy: :spin:

04loadedSl 08-03-2007 09:59 PM

i dont think its covered either..

Apollos2 08-03-2007 11:05 PM

There are two subs. What makes you think those subs are blown? No sound, rattling, popping etc?

I would say they are covered. Of course they only way to know for sure is to go down there and ask.

chernmax 08-03-2007 11:10 PM

You can always ask the stealership, nothing lost in asking a question. Different stealerships have been known to cover different things...

NismoMax80 08-05-2007 08:26 PM

i know the ext warranty covers them. I would think 3 year does aswell. just ask.

Mr. Cummings 08-05-2007 09:58 PM

check and make sure you didnt blow the fuse first. Then check the plugs that connect to the subs. I blew one and resoldered the connection. When it blew it cut in and out. I seriously doubt you blew both at the same time.

pauliejr 08-06-2007 05:41 AM

ill sell you new subs

D'MaX04 08-06-2007 10:53 AM

i would say that they would be covered because they are high qualified speakers not one of those little imitations

freezerboy3 08-11-2007 10:08 AM

Ha $450, are they crazy or what?! I knew they had quoted me something crazy when I sold my stock subs.

Cost was the easy part, picked those subs up used from Nismos14 for like $180 for the pair.

5 was the difficulty. Man that was a lot of work. Nismos14 is a great guy to deal with, he helped me over the phone several times. Here is a tip though, if you are going to just run a sub box back there, just take those stock subs out, it will allow the bass to pass more easily into the cab of the car.

Oh yeah, what size were your stock subs? The come in either 8" or 6x9.
