Painting my headlights

ok guys im about to paint my headlight tomorrow.... i know all the steps how to bake it but on painting it i got a question.... krylon is the best right? and do i need to used a sand paper so the paint will stick good... and do i need to use a primer before painting it the color i want? need some advise plz..... Thanx :D

Fastmax05 01-13-2008 03:54 PM

PM joesredmax... he has a nice setup or dues ...

myer84 01-13-2008 04:04 PM

If you buy Krylon Fusion you don't need primer or sand paper. Just make sure after ou paint you allow it to dry for a few hours before putting the lights together to avoid the lense from fogging up.

SuperMario 01-13-2008 04:39 PM

KCMAXX 01-14-2008 12:52 PM

Just how easy do they seperate?

You should do something with the reflector while you have them open.

More pics..?

jimmypronet 01-14-2008 01:31 PM

Its not that hard for them to seperate.. my only problem is im weak on hot things:laugh: thats why im getting hard time to hold the headlights.. but 15min is enough..... im sanding it right now and will wash and dry it in a min.. ill post more pics later.:D

jimmypronet 01-14-2008 01:48 PM

finally sand it... just letting it dry :D

You should paint over the Canadian day-time running light. For some reason everyone leaves it clear.

It does nothing...

I take it you do not have HID?

bdmaxima 01-14-2008 02:37 PM

a lil off topic so forgive me...do any of you guys know if any1 sells clear sidemarkers for our headlights?

KCMAXX 01-14-2008 02:52 PM

Home Depot.
