It's Wierd Yet It Happened....
A friend and I checked earlier today as to why my right headlight stopped functioning exactly a week ago. I thought it was the bulb itself, but we were checking to see if it was only the bulb, or if the ballast was the one that was damaged. We took the front bumper down and what do we get? An unexplainable surprise. The bulb for whatever reason had been disconnected. He asked me if I knew how. I told him I had no idea how to get to the light bulb much less disconnect it. So, we proceeded to connect it and voila, the headlight works. Is this something that has happened to anyone in here? How exactly does something just come loose from within? My friend said that that is impossible for it disconnect by itself. Either way, I'm glad to see it wasn't anything serious. I am however going to get my headlight, plastic cover lenses cleaned because they're foggy.

Stealership or last service maybe? That's unacceptable whoever you gave it too.

That's the thing, I've never given the car to anyone to do any type of service to it as far as lighting is concerned. The last time I took it to the dealership was about a month or so ago for an oil change and the lights have been functioning great up until last Saturday and today we discovered why it stopped working.

Umm I hope its not any thiefs trying to buck the Ballast... this was a big issues with the A33s ( 2002-2003 ) headlights with HIDs , I had to keep a watch on my car when I had my A33s

One possibility is that the connection was not correctly done at assembly time (pushed together, but not tight enough to lock the connection in place), and the endless motions of the car as it is being driven finally caused the incompletely made connection to fall open. But I am just guessing.

Yeah maybe it woasnt connected good and finally popped out. When I tinted my tails I put all the lights in and they were working fine. Couple days later I see one of my back lights didnt work. Took it apart and reseated everything and Im back to normal.

I would say that was the case if I had the car for a couple of years, or had done any type of mods to the headlight. I've had the car for 4 years now though
