Where is the cabin filter located??? Just turned 20,000 miles on the 2007 and never checked the filter. Thanks in advance.

that's weird, I use to get a smell only when i turned the hot and cold vents, as soon as i started the a/c, the stale odor went away. when i changed the filter - no smell.

Pardon my ignorance, but I reached behind the glove box and then looked under the box and I could not find any filter. Do you have to remove the glovebox??? If so, how does it come out?? or is mine the only 07 Maxima without a cabin filter?? Any advice will be helpful. Thanks.

!
Keeping the glove box closed (empty), look under the glove box and you will see 2 plastic hing pins with tabs. Slide them inward and remove, then while holding the bottom of the glove box with one hand, open and tilt in a 40-45 degree angle so that the glove box comes out of the groove. Let hang by the wire. You should now be able to see the access cover for the filter, I used a small flap tip screwdriver to release the tabs and open for access to the filter. Reverse procedures once installed. |
