replacing rear rotors

Can the rear 6th gen stock rotors be removed after removal of the caliper, or must the "torque member" (to which the caliper is bolted) also be removed?

After the caliper is off, all you have to do is smack the rotor off...that's all

Just take off the 2 bolts for the caliper and move in out of the way. Rotor should come right off. If not use a rubber mallet.

Also, when you take off the caliper be sure not to let it hang...you can risk doing damage to your brake line. Zap-strap the caliper to something so it is not left dangling in the wind.

Thanks to all responders very much. I took another look at it today and there's not much rust and the rotor probably can be recut. I was afraid I'd have to remove the torque member as well as the caliper, and the bolts that hold it can be a bear to unscrew, so it's good to hear that won't be necessary. Just for fun, got a price today from my dealer, who wanted $580 for front brakes (with new rotors)--did myself with aftermarket parts for $200. Dealer wanted 400 for rears (with recutting of rotors), which I can do for about $60 (If rear rotors can be recut). I think I'm going to be saving about 800 and change, for a few hours' work. I also flushed brake lines with new fluid--they needed it after almost 5 years--don't forget to do this part of the job, fellas.
