Fujita VS Nismo

OK Guys I have been on here long enough to know most of you run the Fujita. But why? Price or performance? I know The Fujita is $189 shipped, But I just got the Nismo for $192 shipped( Ebay) + Ebay 10% off for the month on July. Just looking to see what you guys think on the two. I just wanted the Nismo to match the exhaust( Yea the name I know)..

I've had both Nismo and Fujita. Performance wise I think the Fujita is a tad stronger, may 1-2whp. Nothing noticable.

Fujita:
1. One piece design - smoother air flow.
2. The bend coming up from the fender isn't so sharp - again smoother air flow.
3. IMO a better filter.
4. IMO just a tiny bit louder

Nismo
1. Nismo name
2. Bypass filter to help prevent water log.
3. Multi - piece design provides more options.

My Nismo bypass filter eventually broke so I thought I'd try the Fujita. In reality, you can't go wrong with either one. If my Nismo hadn't broke at the bypass, I'd probably still have it. If I change it again, I'll probably try a short ram, most likely: http://weapon-r.com/english/index.ph...oducts_id=5297

I picked Nismo because I think it's more Nissan compatible. I mean they have Nismo 350Z, Nismo this and that, so I chose Nismo considering the manufacturer chose Nismo to be their major mod on their cars. And obviously they wouldn't choose to supply the Nismo parts for their vehicles unless they knew Nismo worked better. Just like Mercedes Benz and AMG or BMW with Dinan... There are the pros and cons or each brand, so it's just a matter or what YOU prefer. There will be minor differences between the diff brands.. so just do your research and choose what suits you best.

That's just my opinion

I have an 05 max se. Just installed the Fujita this weekend....love the sound. What happens when it gets wet/large puddles? Should I be cautious of this? Thanks

Yup... like UhhWateva said. It might hydrolock your engine if too much water gets sucked in. That's one of the reasons why I stuck to Nismo... It's flexible, multi-pieced, and you can make it short ram or long... depending on preference and weather conditions. Again, both are just as good... just a matter or personal preference, that's all.

Does the Nismo use a cleanable resusable filter similar to a K and N?

I'm in the market for a new intake and am leaning towards the Nismo. Its $100 less than an AEM and offers the same bypass.

Is breaking at the bypass a common issue with them?

I've never really heard of the Fujita having that problem. Did you tighten it down to much? I'd go back to who you bought it from, if you bought it brand new.

wow, it seems like a lot of people are choosing nismo because of the name. if that works for you go for it. I would choose Fujita just because of the proven dyno tests.

I have yet seen a dyno with Max & Nismo CAI.

Dyno's go anywhere from $50 to $100 for 3 pulls or like 30minutes of time. Mine cost me $75 for 1/2hr, I can run as many pulls as I can get in that time. I usually just run 3 or 4 and call it good.

I dynoed my Nismo when I first got it, the bad part is I didn't dyno the stock set up first. If you going prove anything you have to do before and after dynos. Do them in 3rd gear.

if im not wrong some1 dynoed their car at stock and got around 212 whp. but ya its not a bad price. i'll look around my local tuner spots see how much they'll charge. its goin to be a pain in the *** to take off the nismo and put it back on.
