May need to go 35% on my tint

Having some trouble getting a sticker i have 20% on it now and i'm really getting sick of this every year running from station to station just for them to put that dump tint meter on window and then tell me they can't do it.

Now last year i got this one station to do it but if he turns me down i may just
have to pay the 189$ and go 35% i mean i guess it looks ok you can still see in the car so i'm saying what's the point any help would be great even better
if anyone has same color car as me that has 35% tint so i can see

That's a bummer, do you have to go all the way to 35%? Could you get away with 27% or maybe just go lighter on the front windows? BTW, the rims go good with your car.

Look in the general maxima thread. There is a post with legal tint for all states. Some you need lighter on the front window but can go darker in the back. Check your state.

the elite package, i have that as well.

for the op, just remove the fronts, get the sticker and get the fronts reinstalled, should be less than 100$ to do it.

what state does the OP live in, I've heard Jersey is a hard state for inspections cause they have state run inspections but if you know a shop take it there and slip the guy a 20

the dealer will inspect it, tint does not make them money so 99 times out of 100 you should not have a problem

Elite edition bro... you don't find many of them, but I personally prefer the full back seat

I have the same colour with 35 front and 20 back.

In quebec the legal limit front is 70%, yes, 70%... dumb. No rules for back windows.

There are no inspections here so unless a cop catches you, it's ok... They are not THAT agressive unless you have limo or 20% front. If they can see you in the car, they tolerate I guess. That's why I have 20 back and 35 front, so they see a difference, and they can see you through.... I guess that one day I'll get a ticket, since 35 is really really darker than 70%, but oh well.

It looks really fine with 35%, just not as dark. I would say that 20 you dont really see through, 35 you see through but not that much. You still get some privacy cause since people can not really see you well, they don't stare at you. I would have preferred 20% front, but I would have been arrested the first day I guess. There's already a huge difference between 70 (legal) and 35 IMO it's dumb not to allow at least 50%, which is completely see through and just smoked anyway... eh. Here's my car:

Yeah as you can see the difference between 20(back) and 35(front) is not alot... you see slightly more shadows through the 35 of course, but it's not like 50% that is just "smoked".

If I could I would have 20 all around but eh... if you cant pass inspection, just put 35 on the sides, it's fine..

On my pic it doesnt look dark, but it's just because of the light. I have some shots that with 35 you cant see through....

You are actually lucky that 35 is legal where you live :P
