Speed Force Racing CVT Turbo kit

Came across this and did not notice it anywhere on here or the other boards
http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/new...turbo-kit.html

don't spend to much time reading on nissanclub, pages 3-5 go off topic but I found a video

http://www.youtube.com/v/1Q_yWMziHYs

and this is another thread on it, have not read it yet (NICOClub)
http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread?id=355026&page=1

I for one am happy to see this, means in time SFR will put a Turbo on an 07-08 Maxima with the CVT and eventually maybe we will see a 7th Gen with a Turbo

Pretty cool, I guess I have never heard a CVT with exhaust but it almost sounded like it was "shifting" ? Do the 08 Altima CVT's have that sport shift mode deal like the new Maximas?

Not really... unless you can design a mod to significantly improve fuel efficiency in gas engines with conventional auto or manual trannys

best of luck

He means that putting down significantly more torque than it designed for is not usually conducive to a transmission's longevity.

I understand what he is/was saying. I am saying that he is being too shortsighted unless he has some alternative solution to a long term problem thats affecting everyone.

From what I read the Altima Coupe/Sedan has a stronger CVT unit in it then the 1st Gen Murano which was the Nissan test mule for the CVT trans, should be interesting to see what may possibly fail with the added power.

The 07-08 Maxima share the CVT with the 4th Gen Altima right

im new to the vg scene....and i dont know how much the bottom ends can take in stock form. that or the cvt......but i can say im not impressed with the speedo in that video at all. that and i dont see the point in spending 5K on a kit with a turbo that small. for that kind of money, go big or go home

clearly you dont. he means that the particular unit in THAT CAR has its days numbered, as in the guy in the video, not CVT's in general.

Off subject...

Hi guys,

This is the only way I have found to write something - I want to start a post but it tells me that I cannot do it - How do I achieve this? And how do I contact the moderator to get permission to post? ... or how does it simply work?

Newbie here, Thanx

follow up

Ok. Then maybe this is not the right way to do this but I will ask anyways, please don't kick me out.

I have a '04 Max and I am looking for a roof rack - I know, this is no performance mod, but I still want one - and I can't find any brands that does it specifically for this car - Can someone help? Is there an OEM/ Nissan roof rack that fits?

Thanx for your help.

ha sorry for the typo. but i never said anything about the capability of the platform no need to get your panties in a bunch because he could have easily made as much power for a lot less than 5K
