Have to ON/OFF the key 3-15 times to start! HELP MASTERS NEEDED

Have to ON/OFF the key 3-15 times to start! HELP MASTERS NEEDED
Anyone know any common problems that may cause this kind of issue?
The battery is new.
The starter never grinds or anything.It just dont start.
Once the ignition allows the car to start,it works flawlessly.
If its not starting and I turn the key,it dont but any drain on the battery,headlights etc.
Also When it dont work.And you turn the key,All the lights on the dash come on and I can hear some clicking by the glovebox area.WHich I believe most of the relays are under the hood over there.
Thye check engine light blinks and beeps 4 times when the key is in the on position.
Its a 2006 5spd auto SL
I triple checked all plugs.
Cleaned the batterty and starter wires
There is no check engine light on abs or airbag.
I scanned the memeory for codes and nothing

hey how many miles you got and do you have a warranty because i was also reading your other post about the axle. Was you car a Salvage? and if not and you still have warranty then take it to a dealer and have them sort it out. Best of luck.

dealers don't cover salvaged cars under warrenty unless work was done after salvage. it sounds to me like you have a broken key or an ignition problem. i would take you key in to the dealer and have them check it and the security system. also they have scanners that can find problems that happen but don't become what they call hard faults,which is all a commercial scanner will find. if they say you need a new key, then buy one off ebay and take it in for programming. they are expensive at the dealer and the programming is even more.

What do you mean "WORK"
This car is professionaly rebuilt and will pass NYS rebuild inspection.
Do you mean,if their fixed,then the dealer will cover them?
It would be cool if the dealer would do an "inspection"to verify the auto
is back to standards and therefore should remain covered for the rest of its term.
Thanks for that info,I will definitly goto the dealer and have them check the key.
WHat can be broken in the key? Theres a chip module or specific ohmed magnetic doodad inside?
