3" single outlet exhaust thread was closed??

My thread on my 3" single outlet exhaust was closed for some reason that was not explained to me. Here is a link to it and Id like to resunme discussions, but dont mention street racing or any other controversial topic which may have led to the closing of it.

Being able to see the pipe really bugs the crap outta me, especially the 90* bend. I would suggest using high temp paint and rattle it black for a better stealthy look, but rocks and other crap are just gonna chip the paint off.

Hey EX Man....I think your setup sounds amazing! I would love to see the look on drivers faces when they hear it coming...like in tunnels and underpasses! LOL!

Yeah man...you totally rock!

I think your thread was closed because of the "fighting"
Strong comments, opinions etc, a little pre-mature I thought but I guess it could have digressed rapidly. We shouldn't let a few people comments close such an "out side the box" thread. It gives them too much power.

My uncle once told me, it's all in how you say it. You can tell some to "Go to hell " and have them looking forward to the trip if you say it the right way. Some folks are still learning that.

It's too bad because yours is definitely a one of a kind set up and provided some food for thought on exhaust for our cars. It also made people think about what they are really doing with their cars? Is it ultimately for looks or performance or both (me) I want performance but I won't take off my chrome wheels when I run it at 1/4mi track. At least you put your perf mods to the test, on the dyno and the track, that's cool and ultimately it's personal preference. I like the look of duals better than single, so what? Your set up still looks good, it's just not my style, but then again if you lost weight and gains some HP it is worth the trade off to you. More power to you man

That pretty much sums it up why I closed it. I sent a PM to the OP regarding why it was locked. Let's put that behind us and move on. If you feel the need to beat the dead horse on this please feel free to PM me to discuss.
Thanks,
Dan

I just thought it was a funny statement that he made and wanted to bring it to everyone's attention...that is all...almost an oxymoron you know? Trying to race and be competitive but with heavy **** 20'' chrome wheels on...

I guess it makes perfect sense and i'm far out in left field!!!! what was i thinking!

lol...

sorry!

edit: deus whats your plan for covering up the pipe? care to let us in on the secret? i think if you could do that it would look ALOT better. Custom bumper/Custom rear lip?

edit #2: are those stickers from your sponsors or something? or are you into free advertising?

Answer to ur first question is yes.
Answer to second question is that the stickers are really for show, they are not sponsors, although some I have purchased products from.

Ill add a bit of commentary regarding the closing of the original thread. I too thought it was closed a bit prematurely, in all honesty, but I respect the mods and their judgment. I had no idea that changing the exhaust from 4 pipes to one pipe would have a rather profound impact on people, which is ok, by the way. I respect people's opinions that differ from mine. There is polite ways of expressing disagreeing opinions and rude ways. I think there were some opinions that were being expressed that did cross the line.
I share my projects with everyone, not to get accolades, or pats on the back, or to incite riotous behavior. Rather, I share my projects with everyone because I have these ideas, and I put them to fruition, and perhaps someone else might want to try it too, or at least get folks to think about maybe making a change or do a mod to their car. I suppose the "4 pipes to 1" topic touched some nerves because the 6th Gen Maxima's distinctive feature is the quad pipes and apparently will be the only quad-tipped Maxima that Nissan will ever make. Then I come along and remove them and make ONE tip, lol. In retrospect I understand some of the reaction to this project. I happen to really like this mod. Its hard to capture on film the essence of this mod but it gives the car an "I mean business" kind of a look. Each day, I like this mod more and more. Its like getting a radical haircut - sometimes it takes time to get used to it and then u realize you really like it. My 2 cents . . Comments? More opinions? Philosophical commentary?

Hey that does sound pretty good. Definitely a different tone/note than my Fujita/Nismo set up of course I don't have headers either. Good, smooth sound in all gears. I like!

Do you feel that you have more power with this set-up and will you get a dyno to see what new numbers that you can pull?

depends what kind of phone you have.

I tend to just use my microSD card and transfer onto that and then onto the phone. You can also use a USB cable for data transfer. I'm sure someone else can step in and have some other ways to do it as well.
