Im gonna have to say i doubt it but this is with no knowledge of the 5th gen at all. Reason being that if 5th gen headers fit the 6th gen then nearly ALL of us on the A34 side would have headers on our cars already.

yea i was thinking the same thing. But if i'm not mistakened, the 5th gen has the same engine, or is very similar to the 6th gen engine.

i think the 5.5 gens technically would bolt up to the 6th gens but i think i remember cattman having trouble with clearance issues and cel's on the 6th gens so i bet they arent swappable

Hmm that sounds more like it actually. I think the difference is egr and no egr. No egr on the 5.5 The 6th gen does have 1.

So then it's basically just the clearance. And can't we always get an egr port put on so it fits?

You'd be better off asking the fifth genners.

There's also a performance/motor section.

You can't use 5.5 Gen headers on a 6th Gen or Alti, at least, not the way they come from the manufacturers. Take a look under each and you will see why.

4th, 5th, and 5.5 Gen Maximas have a subframe piece commonly referred to around here as a cross member while the 6th Gens have a cradle looking subframe. The y-pipes therefore have to be completely different. You could use the headers with a custom y-pipe, but I'm not sure how cost effective that would be as opposed to just buying a set from Cattman. Even then I'm not sure the angle at which the collectors from each bank comes down would work, because the headers are designed to go with a specific y-pipe.

5.5 Gen (Derrick2k2SE and mine):

The headers LOOK similar in the pictures, but they are different. The main difference is still the y-pipe though.

Compare here:

And this picture of Gen II Cattmans for the prev gens:

Vs chern's picture of his old Hotshots here:

You can see that the rear bank collector flange on the 6th Gen headers curves toward the front of the car while the 5.5 Gen header collector flanges point straight down, from what I can see from the pics.

I would assume if the 5th gen headers did fit there'd be alot of us that would of had them along time ago and Cattman would not have taken the time to develop 6th gen headers....
