Left headlight sometimes on sometimes off
Hi all,
I'm got a 2007 Maxima and recently my left headlight went out. Oddly when I turned the lights off and back on it came back on. Occasionally it'll flicker but often turning off and back on gets it going, at least for a while, so I know the bulb is good (or should be).
I don't suspect a loose cable since turning off and on again starts it up, and same for the fuse.
From the videos I've looked at it could either be the ballast or the harness that connects from it to the light fixture.
Obviously, I don't want to buy 2 parts but then again, I don't want to go through the whole process of removing the light fixture twice. So what would be my best bet to diagnose which parts is most likely the bad part?
Thanks,

Like Les7311 said change them both at the same time. the reason being I've found is that the bulbs get dimmer over time from age and use. If you just change one you will definitely notice a difference in how bright the new bulb is over the old one.

On my ‘11, Stealership wanted over $100 for one bulb,
looked over the EBay and found both for little under $30
happy DIY surgery on delivery….. / half lower the front bumper / Utube for instructions….(again, easy..)
