Go to courtesyparts.com and look under the 2007 Nissan Altima and get the step lights that they have since they're clear. Completely interchangeable part.

OR

You can get them at the dealership

So i have to buy the whole light can't just buy the lens.

Yeah, unfortunately you gotta buy the whole assembly. They don't sell them seperately

Yup, this is a simple but expensive mod. If your lucky, then you can find some at the junk yard OR someone that happened to have done that mod is parting out their ride. If you know somebody that that's your best bet at getting it for free. Just swap it and your good

If you wanna go to the extreme than you can test out an altima and use the almighty 5 finger discount.

Ok. Thank's for the info. I guess i will do this soon. So do i need to change the whole light when i do it or just replace the red lens with the clear lens?

I3LAZEN 05-22-2011 08:55 AM

Just pop out the red lens - unplug it.. plug the wire to the clear lens and pop it back in.. done..

I got leds for sale for the door lens available here ---- http://forums.maxima.org/general-max...ml#post8056091

06silvermax 05-26-2011 08:19 PM

One more question. The lights under the dash. i found the driver side just pulls out but i am having problem's with the passenger side. Im sure it pulls out as well rite? I don't have to take anything apart to change it rite?

BossMaxima 05-26-2011 09:17 PM

The one is a PITA to remove because there is no room to work.. But you dont need to remove anything.

6.5affiliate 05-26-2011 09:53 PM

^^ As he said. There's nothing to remove, if you lay on your back looking up under the glove compartment. You'll see where the bulb is at and removing/installing a new bulb or LED strip is pretty easy.
