Need Some Advice on Maintenence and Belts

I need some general advice from anyone who has experience in this area. Tomorrow I am taking my 04 maxima,SL to shop to have a oil seal on oil cooler replaced, may be oil cooler itself cracked and leaking.Anyway the car has a lot of miles and I am having drive belts changed also, due to the oil in that area I fear some may have got on belt. My question is, Do you know of any other maintanence in this area that should be done,I know some maxima have issues with oil pressure switch leaking, should I have this replaced? is it costly? I dont get very many oppurtunities to do anything between work and family. I dont have money to waste but at the same time I like to get problems while I am there. Please advise me on this as I am a new maxima owner and trying to learn the ropes.maxman7

NISSAN,DRIVE BELTS OR GATES ?????

Hey max-nuts,I am taking my 6th Gen to shop today try to get a leaky oil cooler fixed. I am praying(seriously) that it is the $4.oo o-ring on the back of it,everyone says thats 90% of the time.If not $377.00 was the quote on the whole oil cooler assembly(yikes),not counting labor,by then I will be ready to do some crawling under it myself.Anyway I need to change the drive belts also due to some very minor oil migration,What is the best belts?I have always trusted gates, but have heard many people say they are noisy on maxima 3.5,I will be leaving in two hours so dont hesitate to **** me out an opinion.maxman7

IMO, it doesn't matter either way whether its Nissan, Gates or NAPA. Just get the correct part number.

PS - I merged your threads and changed the title to something a little more information. You don't need to start a new thread every time you have a different question.

Thanks and sorry, got a little excited there,as I have been battling this oil leak since I purchased the car 4 months ago. With no prevail,I love the car but probably gonna give er up. Two things a man dont want is bleeding woman or bleeding car.Looks like Im gonna have to lower my standards and get something I can affrord with less miles.Probably wont be screwing up this forum much longer, but have enjoyed the love for cars.maxman7

Oil pressure switch costs about $7 plus the cost to replace the oil that will need to be drained before replacement.

How hard are Drive Belts to replace on a 2005 maxima? Is it something a novice could do? The dealer wanted $271 to replace mine but I think that's kind of outrageous?
