Stock/OEM Amplifiers In 6.5 Gen Maxima'z..?

I recently purchased a 4 channel amplifier.. Someone told me that 6.5 Gen maxima'z may have a stock/oem amplifier and if so it needs to be removed before installing my new 4 channel? Has any one come across this situation? If so, where can I find the stock/oem amp and how to remove it..?

Is this a ground floor installation you're trying to do...meaning, you've never integrated an amp into a stock system...

Man, you're asking for trouble if you've never done anything like this before!!!

You could do what I did for my sub and just use the high powered input that should be on the aftermarket amp. Works great for my sub and I can remove it really easily if I ever wanted to. Not sure how clean it would sound on the rest of the speakers but just a suggestion.

you can leave your stock amp there. Just unplug everything from it. you will just need to route all of you speaker cables, power cables and HU cables to your new amp.

if your asking if you can connect your new amp to your stock amp... i will all depend on the kind of new amp you have.
