IMO two-tone usually doesn't look very good.

If you do two-tone, the only way it could possibly look good is if it follows the lines of the car.

The edges of the hood have their own lines.

The eyelids just screw it up, they stick out too far

Then the lines on the front bumper seem arbitrary... they don't really flow with any aspect of the car.

Your car looks nice as it is. Maybe tint the chrome trim, roof strips, and badges black would help. But a black hood? That makes it look like you got in an accident and couldn't find a new hood that was the right color.

How about this in regards to the eyelids?

It looks better without the eyelids, im not really feelin the led strips though.. you should make them hidden IMO & also you need a better black..this looks like a charcoal gray... Did you actually do the paint job or is this just a photochop?

Fiddy Yen 12-15-2009 06:51 PM

I need some other shots of the car before I make any comments. Can you post more pics?

bigpopaj369 12-15-2009 07:07 PM

looks really good! id loose the lids

DeusExMaxima 12-15-2009 08:01 PM

Its ok. Try something like this:

Or this but have the black continue up the hood:

Those are not LED strips they are LED DRL's. These lights are phenomenal at night, camera does no justice to them they are acutally bright white.

It looks way better in those pics than it does with the black photoshop.

if you're looking to paint, the only thing I could think of would be to do the nissan burger in the exact same paint as the wheels, then fill in the "NISSAN" letters in red.

+1.. it looks sick in all red.. in regards to the LED DRLS you shoulda made them HIDDEN like how eddymax has them.

Gollum67 12-16-2009 01:17 PM

If it aint' broke, why fix it??
But if you must, why don't you try a hood overlay in carbon fiber. I would like to see that:D

po8pimp 12-20-2009 07:10 PM

time for a new grill IMO. I think if you are going to do that you need to get rid of the burger and the big front tooth. Looks hidious that way. Two tone is hard to do and when done right looks amazing. try a different grill like the hollow one with black mesh. the knockoff one from china would look way better. I also agree with no eyelids. Leave the directional led strips they look good. stick out a bit because they are a different color, but look good none the less. Maybe paint them black around the leds.

honestly.. your car in as it stands now is prob my favorite 6th gen.. or at least one of a few.. dont do the black thing .. it looks like crap like that..

NismoMax80 12-21-2009 08:58 PM

I never got why everyone put they're eyelids on backwards. they were designed to follow the hood/fender lines. switching them may help.

as opposed to you and others have installed them backwards.

maybe try following along the grille lines instead of cutting the lower pillar? then follow up the hood? i dont have PS...

Staticxout2 12-21-2009 10:17 PM

i like it without the eyelids, and with black instead of black chrome, looks grey.
