Finally, let me introduce myself

Just got her in Nov. of last year for my wife. She was bone stock and as you can see the mod bug hit me hard and fast. I'm coming from a 2004 Mustang Cobra that had 515 rwhp and 545 rwtq. It's a whole different animal compared to the 6th gen maxi. But I love the Max!! For a 4 door sedan the low end torque is amazing. And its inside cabin space is amazing. My wife, 2 daughters and I can cruise comfortably and gets up to speed when need be. Anyways on to the pics sorry they aren't great they were taken from my iphone.

Haha, thats crazy. I was looking for wheels like that on a Max on this site for weeks to see how it would look. No I got them from my shop. I had 20's in chrome but didnt like the chrome look too much. So did a swap for the BSA all black wheels.

Lookin' good man!!!

I came to the Nissan Maxima after a Cobra as well.Very different car,I read about everyone here doing all these performance mods, but I have to be honest I really like the luxury ride. Its nce and quite and has all the goodies. The Cobra's are just a blast to drive, pure power and sound mean as hell!!

Did you ever post on svtperformance.com?? I was over there for quite some time. My last mod was my ported eaton blower. I had a kenne bell on deck but had to sell the car. And I know what you mean by the luxury and nice power the Maxima gives. But I'll never forget the blower whine and exhaust note of the Cobra. I'm actually trying to buy another one within the next year or so. The hp/$ you get from the 03-04 Cobra is unmatched. 10 sec quarter mile for less than $1500. And virtually bullet proof motor. Can't beat that.

Had some issues with my header install. Apparently these were for a 03 maxima. We got the headers to fit with minor adjustments. The y-pipe will not fit because its too short. So tomorrow my shop will have to cut and weld some pieces to try and get the y-pipe to fit. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'll post another update tomorrow. As of right now I'm yanking my hair out.

KC,

Sorry about that. It's been crazy the past few days. With my newborn and this stupid header install and work I haven't had a chance to dig up the pictures. I'll get em up asap. Thanks.

Here you go KC. I found some on my work pc. I miss this car dearly and can't wait to get into another one.

I had 2.76 lb upper pulley and 2lb lower pulley making 18 lbs of boost on the stock ported eaton supercharger. With catback exhaust and tune. Upgraded heat exchanger and coolant res. pushing 515 rwhp and 525 rwtq. Ran 11.2 @ 126 mph with a shotty 1.7 60ft. I'm sure 10's were capable with a 1.6-1.5 60 ft.

Ok guys just got the car back from the shop. Everything is done with no leaks. Only thing left is rear o2's need to be hooked up. I think I'm just going to have those extended after I install a high flow cat or resonator. The damn thing is LOUD!!!!!. I love the sound but there's no way to ride this way without getting a ticket eventually. I'll try and get some exhaust clips for you guys tonight. Question, the rear o2's not being plugged in will that cause any damage to the engine? Does it cause the car to run lean or rich?? I do have the check engine light on and the car feels smooth. Doesn't seem like I gained much. Maybe computer needs to re-learn?? I haven't disconnected the battery yet but I'm going to try that out as well. I had my timing advanced a few weeks back and I don't know if that's been lost or not. I'm going to check have that checked out tonight as well. Thanks guys for the help.

timing advance should not change. It has to be changed back with the Consult tool if it was adjusted that way. Nice cars. I have to say I am not a fan of the wheels having a red lip. I think if they were color matched to the car they would look sick. I can't wait to hear those clips though. Also roughly how much did the install run you?
