Engine Swap

SO Im gonna end up replacing my motor. Im wondering if a motor out of an 05 or 06 will bolt right up. Im thinking they should but want to know for sure before I buy anything.

It will drop right in, you'll be fine.

Very minor differences but the mounting points, etc. are the same.

Yeah it will be me and my brother. My buddy will be swapping all the tensioners and chains while I have it out. But that all depends on what motor I get. Found one in a junk yard from a roll over but I have to find out if the motor was running upside down first.

Thanks for the input I had someone tell me it has to be the same make and model, I figured because motor mounts or something. I have gotten a lot of great info off this forum and people actually know their stuff here it seems.

What happened to the old motor? New here, sorry if you have been posting about the issue already.

Why don't you ask an experienced Nissan mechanic?

Check out my post titled "absolute disgust" Motor is done its only a matter of time. Looks like it had one or two oil changes in 100K

No, they are wrong. You would use your current mounts and the motor wont matter whether it came from an MT/AT/SE/SL, etc. .
