Noise while hard corning
Hey Guys,
I searched here for the exact behavior but could not find and recent threads. Most of them were 5/6 yrs old. Since last few months while turning left or right I am getting a strange noise. It ONLY happens during hard cornering , like sharp left above 20/30 mph. It wasn't there before. I noticed after I installed the Rear Strut Brace in my trunk. My Springs are pretty new. Stock springs . I bought them from another org member who upgraded to other springs Monroe struts and shocks are 4K old. Last week replaced front cv axles ( complete left and right . my right side was shot ). Complete brake ( front/rear ) as well as tier rod ends ( front left and right ). The noise is still there. the noise seems to be coming from the right side. Its more of a spring type noise, like if you try to compress a spring and when it decompresses . No leaks in struts. Checked one mechanic and mentioned they are still like new. Power steering fluid OK. When stopped, if I rotate steering all the way left right - the noise does not occur. It only happens on hard cornering which leads me to think its something related to suspension or axle components. Any ideas ? |
make sure mount plate at top of spring is properly aligned.
make sure all bolts are tight. welcome in the noise club, been having a clunk for 5 months. What was the issue with your axle ? |

i been having noise coming from turning my wheel but it turns out mines is from a bad Rack & Pinion :S had strauss do a complete check for me on my car when i had them replace my front right axle, mines sound like a loud spring snap, and you call feel it feed back through the steering wheel and the flooring :S
