Trying to diagnose a sound

I hear it while driving, but mostly when decelerating, coming to a stop. Can"t really hear it with windows down. It is like a groaning sound. Not necessarily grinding. Not sure with this model if the brake pads do it when they don't have much meat left. Not sure what the CVT sounds like when it isn't feeling well, but everything feels fine as far as the overall function of the car. Sorry I can't provide a sound clip, but it doesnt pick up on phone microphone.
