Blown brake light fuse

Help-----------2005 Nissan Maxima
I have a brake light fuse that keeps blowing. I checked all the bulbs and fuse box under the hood. I replaced the brake light switch and it keeps blowing the fuse.

Ok I put a brake fuse in,turned the car on ,unplugged the brake switch then plugged it back in. I applied the brakes and the fuse blew after about 10 to 15 seconds of holding the brakes. Any suggestions on my next move?

you have an exposed wire. I replaced my reverse brake light with an LED one. When I removed it later and placed it back I pinched the wire in one of the clips. Eventually this frayed the wire and it came in contact with the clip.

Drove me nuts checking everything replacing fuses to unlock my shifter several times. Finally took it all apart. then, once putting back I noticed the slice in the wire coating.

I'm going to trace the wires when I get home Monday. Thanks

I've been all through this car and I still have no brake lights. Someone said something about a ground for the tailights. Can someone tell me exactly where the ground is? I heard it behind the rear seat but I can't seem to find it.

Ok my car is at the stealership for no brake lights. They said a penny fell behind the the a/c circuit board and thats why my brake fuse kept blowing. I don't understand this because my a/c controls worked fine with or without tailights.
