Front and rear tires are not the same size

Wondering if having front and rear tires with different sizes would be an issue on a long trip.

I purchased a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE a week ago, had it re-safetied and noted that the two front tires are Bridgestone P245-50R18 and the two rear tires are Michellen P245-45R18.

Car drives fine except for a little tire noise from the rear Tires at highway Speeds and on certain Concrete Surfaces.

Can any one foresee my having an issue with my leaving these tires on as they are, on a 2200 Km or 1320 Mi trip I am planning on this week-end?

Lots of thread on all 4 tires.

No, no problem at all. As long as you have the same size on both sides of each axle, you're fine.

With my hot rods I use to actually do the reverse of that on purpose. In fact, I'm going to upsize my tires soon on my max. I'll be doing fronts first. I'd go all at once but the rears are in better shape.

Having lots of "thread" on them could be an issue however.

I would switch those 245/50s to the rear. (1) That will drop your headlight projection a little lower, rather than a little higher, which should save you from being high-beamed-flashed by on-coming traffic. This effect will also be exacerbated if you have any weight in the back seats or trunk as well. (2) It will also take a little pressure off your rear "stock" shocks, which are kind of cheap to begin with. Just my two cents.
