Hello All,
My SES light came on and I scan my 2004 Maxima and I got the P1283 code. I did some research and something about air sensor on bank 1. If anybody has ant knowledge on codes and also a picture will help. So I can see where it is located at.

That's easy it's an A/F sensor bank 1. AKA 02 sensor. It will be closest the exhaust manifold bank 1. If memory servs as correct and because our engines are transversely mounted, that O2 sensor is before the cat closest to the rear cylinder bank just after manifold. But before cat. And she is a pita to get out, as it sits topside of the exhaust.

Thank you for your help Infinity medic. Due to the bad weather and crazy snow storms I can't get under the car yet.

Lets see..... one in the front by the radiator.... one by the firewall that you get from the top looking down... and two sitting on top of the exhaust - have to jack up car...... theres a post here that describes them better...
