car won't accept fuel
I searched and could not find this issue addressed so I figured I would toss this up and see what happens. Car is an 05 with 191k. It has had the check engine light on and off intermittently since I bought it pertaining to the EVAP system. Lots of things it could be there, so I never worried about it. Well now the only way to fill up is to pump the fuel in so slow that you can easily count the pennies on the meter. If I go full speed, it spews fuel out the side of the car, or clicks off every 10 cents. I assume it is a clogged vent for the fuel tank. Or could it be the vent valve solenoid? Curious to know if anyone has encountered this problem.

Often the issue is the result of a vent tube dropping down into the tank. Besides, the CEL should be taken seriously to prevent severe damage to your car. You will need a scanner or go to the dealer to get the engine system checked .

Look under your car by the water seperator and the canister. Make sure you don't have a clogged line. I had same problem. Something had made a nest in the line.

This is interesting, because I have this problem quite often on a 2004 Infiniti. Any suggestions on this?
