Reverse, back-up lights not working, need help.
 

Hi, I just bought a 2008 Nissan Maxima SE from the auction. The reverse lights are not working at all, and it looks like the former owner had problems because the relay plastic harness plug for the reverse, in the fuse box next to the battery was broken, but all the wires were intact. I replaced that and also the relay, and it still didn't work. A friend who has a car diagnosis program told me the relay has numbers on it, and number 2 should be getting a ground from the TCM, and it's not. If you jump #3 & #5 and give power from the battery to #2 the backup lights come on when the car is parked, and it beeps inside the car, at least I know the signal is going all the way to the tail lights.

The transmission shifts great, the reverse mirrors go down and the dash says R when in reverse, I'm just getting no lights in reverse. could that still be a bad TCM if everything is ok with the trans? If so, does it need to be programmed to the car or can I get any other 06-08 Maxima TCM?

Also there seems to be no neutral safety switch on the CVT Trans, at least none they sell.

I've been trying to figure this out for 3 days now, any help would be great, thanks.
