2004 nissan maxima ticking noise
Hey guys i really need some help and im not the mechanical kinda guy. My car has a high idle when first started but drops down after a minute or two. Also has a very noticeable ticking which seems like its on the left side of the engine. It also downshifts every once in awhile when it shouldnt be. Left meaning passenger? Could be power steering pump, alternator, chain, lots of things to check. Use a long screwdriver, put its blade to the engine and handle to your ear and localize the source of ticking.
