Auto transmission slipped gears once while stopped for traffic light
hello everyone,
I own a 2005 Maxima and experienced something unique a few days ago. My car has done 153K miles but drives well. A few days ago, I drove the car on freeway for 4 miles and everything worked fine. Then when I was stopped at a traffic light the engine sputtered for a few seconds and died on me. I quickly put the car transmission in parking started the car and the engine came to life right away. But when I pushed the pedal the car was extremely sluggish and the engine died again. I realized that the car was in the wrong gear and started the car again, put transmission in manual and brought the car to 1st gear and the everything worked fine. Later I parked the car for a few minutes and when I came back home the car worked fine in auto transmission.
This has never happened to me in the past. Is this something to be worried about ?
The SES light is NOT on.
