orignial or superseded valve cover gaskets

Out of curiosity, is there any reason to go with one over the other? I understand superseded parts should fit and function exactly the same. My local nissan has the original and superseded part for same price. Thanks

Good Afternoon,
I work out of a Nissan dealership parts department, and we even have a website that we offer free shipping and coupons. https://www.beelineparts.com/
Superseded parts are OEM parts that have new part numbers or have been redesigned for Nissan vehicles. They are still compatible with the vehicle and will perform the same or better. The prices don't normally change when they supersede. If you need help finding the part, check out our site and see if you like our prices and options! If you need anything else let me know on here or give us a call.
