Starter rebuild/replacement question

I may have to swap my starter soon. I am getting a no crank no start on the first key turn. Sometimes it is doesn't start until the third key turn. My car eventually starts and all electricals work fine. Headlights are fine when car is off as well. At the moment, I am most likely going with a rebuilt starter from a local shop unless I go for a "POWER SELECT" starter(new) from Rockauto.com. I believe they should be about same price.
Out of curiosity, has anyone bought a replacement kit to fix their oem starter? I found a kit for about $40 and comes with many pieces. Their website matches the kit to the part number 23300-8Y000 which is starter for 5speed. Any thoughts?

I just replaced my starter. What year and transmission do you have? If you have the 5AT the starter is NOT in any of the locations mentioned online. Also this happened to me. For almost a year my car would sometimes take 2-3 key turns to activate the starter. So you are going to need to replace it soon so you don't get stranded at a costco gas pump like me. It's very easy to do. If you can install a CAI, you can replace your starter.
