My 07 maxima want shift into 5th or 6th gear after I jumped it off

im gonna assume that its the 6 speed manual as the biggest auto was a 5 speed? something could be binding up the linkage or something internal transmission has failed

07=CVT, there are no gears. Has shift points yes, but unless you're in a manual mode you don't see the gear (shift point position) it's in. That said, Are you referring perhaps to what feels like a limp mode? In that it runs, and goes, but feels like it's got no power, maybe get 20-30 mph that's it? If so, that's limp mode. Totally different thing then what you described, but I have to think maybe you're a little confused in the description.

probably cause he said no 5th or 6th so I assumed it was a normal trans like my 04
