I think that the 2009 Maxima is very sensitive to imbalances in the wheels. The slightest imperfection in the balance of the the wheels is noticable.

With the 18" and 19" wheels of the current Maxima, it's not surprising this can happen. If any mud or debris gets caught inside the rim, centrifical force will push it onto the inside of the rim. In extreme cases, you may need to remove the wheel and scrape the mud or debris off to keep it from unbalancing the wheel.

Ummm. Sounds a lot like the 6th gen redesign back in '04 . . . For some folks here on the ORG, even a housefly landing on one of those '04 wheels would create an out-of-balance situation.
