Audio hook up for iPod

I've got a SV that doesn't have the hook up for you iPod in the center console. I know I can use the aux jack but has anyone put one in? Or is there a place on the back of the radio to hook up a audio cable? Thanks.

What is the goal you're trying to accomplish?

I'm wanting to be able to hook my iPhone up for music without having to plug it into the aux jack on the front of the radio.

Do you have the orange/black screen or the color screen? I am not certain by any means, but I would imagine that nissan would want to keep the different SKU's for headunit's low and as such there should be a way to upgrade the harness. Look online and see if someone makes an apple plug that goes directly into the head unit. I know this is common for a lot of Mopar products, my wife's GC being one of them. In hers if you have the 10disc changer you have to remove it, otherwise you can use the empty AUX harness plug into the headunit and hook up either an RCA/USB/or an Apple plug. It doesn't look like normal plug it is a square 9 pin plug I think(again this is jeep it will be different in Nissan I would assume), but there are a bunch of companies that make the harness to adapt to it.

I see, I know you won't find an input on the back of the radio, that's for sure. Might need to go with something aftermarket.

That's what I was wondering, if there was somewhere on the back to plug one in. Well that suck. I was wanting to be able to control my iPod with the controls on the steering wheel and not have to mess with the thing while driving. Oh well I guess next time I won't go cheap and get the next package lol.

Audio streaming over bluetooth is only available with the navigation package.

i think you can stream music from a phone over blue tooth in a non navi maxima , as long as it has the a/v inputs in the center arm rest . you will need a blackberry stereo gateway ( works with anything not just blackberrys ) there is a thread about streaming bluetooth music on here that goes in depth to describe it , if you can pair your phone to your radio for bluetooth u can pair this gateway to the car then pair your phone to the gateway , at least that is my understanding of it , i havent purchased one yet , other that have feel free to chime in .
