Any night pix?

RobIzWhoa Sep 22, 2011 12:35 PM

Yeah will post em up in a few hours when it gets dark out

ChrisMan287 Sep 22, 2011 12:42 PM

Throw some 3000K HIDs in there or at least some yellow bulbs. Lamin-X alone tends to have that piss yellow color to it and not that deep yellow that most want.

RobIzWhoa Sep 22, 2011 03:32 PM

I personally like the way they look so ill stick to the lamin x i know to each is own

sg1214 Sep 22, 2011 09:39 PM

Looks real good! Was thinking about doing this myself.

RobIzWhoa Sep 23, 2011 06:24 AM

Thanx, its really eazy just take out two torx screws and ur fog pops rite out , laminx those suckers pop em back in and thats it just give the glue a few hours to dry ull see some spots that look like lint between the laminx and fog but with the heat from the bulb that goes away by the next day

MadMax07SL Sep 23, 2011 07:06 AM

Where did you get it, and did you have to cut it to fit, or were they specific for these fogs...?

RobIzWhoa Sep 23, 2011 09:03 AM

I actually got it at a place called speed world in queens ny i got a square foot of it for 10 bucks and i cut squares stuck it on worked it throught and heated the film up cuz it comes one side sticky and cut the excess off and put yhe fogs rite back clean install .

MadMax07SL Sep 23, 2011 11:51 AM

I guess I'll keep looking. I'm finding $30 is the cheapest online so far, so I'll hold out for something around $10...

Thanks, I needed that perspective so I don't get ripped off...:p

RobIzWhoa Sep 23, 2011 01:48 PM

Damn 30 bucks ? Thats a lil steep for a sheet of that stuff where u from anyways ? Check the laminx website they sell precuts for 15 bucks but thats still a lil too much , try a place that does tints they usually carry that stuff also and im pretty sure theyll hook u up for a few bucks good luck

Putting aside appearance or installing HID's, what would give you the best performance with yellow fog lights.

1. Yellow film with OEM bulb.
2. Yellow film with good yellow bulb. (What type and mfr of bulb)
3. Clear fillm with good yellow bulb.

I want to install a film on the fog lights for protection but want the best vision possible as I live where its quite foggy alot.

Thanks

Yellow film with 35W 3000K HIDs.

RobIzWhoa Sep 23, 2011 04:59 PM

U can do the 3000k hids but then u wont really need the yellow film , u can do the film and also throw some nokya h11 2500 k bulbs in there for that extra yellow look and ive heard alot of good things about the nokya bulbs in some peoples opinion better then piaa's but to each is own good luck , i personally put
The laminx on to have that daytime yellow look and at nite and im pretty happy with the look at nite i will post some pics soon as i get a chance

killemall2k Sep 23, 2011 05:40 PM

lamin-x + 3k hid kit look amazing. i had just 3k on mine, got the film and it makes it alot more vibrant

bommart Dec 4, 2011 06:29 AM

if i was to install the ion yellow nokya bulbs in my fogs, which are obvioulsy a higher wattage, would i need to upgrade the plug/wiring?

RobIzWhoa Dec 4, 2011 11:41 AM

Prob would be the best bet just to make sure them bulbs dont burn out your stock harness in some cases i read that the bulbs get hot and melt the connectors !!!
